Road Safety Talk
Somerset County Council came in to see us to talk about Road Safety.
The children have been busy this half term in the outside classroom.
We have been learning about road safety and why it is important to wear a helmet. We drew a chalk road and a zebra crossing whilst riding bikes and scooters.
We have also been busy doing observational paintings of daffodils looking closely at the shapes and shades of the petals.
The new builders role play area has proved to be very popular, lots of fantastic creations have been made. We've had fun playing in willow wigwam and weaving material through it to brighten it up.
Montacute House school trip
Minnow Class have been on a trip to Montacute House looking for signs of Spring in the lovely sunshine.
World Book Day
The children really enjoyed dressing up as their favourite book characters for World Book Day this March. Thank you to parents for your help with the lovely costumes.
Guide Dog visit
We recently had a visit from a Guide Dog called Markey. He came with his owner Alex to show us what an amazing job Guide Dogs do for people who have partial or no sight.
Chinese New Year
We made dragon masks for Chinese New Year and learned all about the Chinese New Year Story. We even tried some Chinese food. (Some of us thought it was great others were not so sure!)
Minnow Class went for a welly walk in the snow. We used our senses to see how Winter felt, smelled and sounded. We then when back inside to write our class Winter poem! (We also had lots of fun exploring and creating snowmen in the snow!)
