School in a Bag
Last week some of the children helped Lis from School in a Bag pack 12 rucksacks. The rucksacks were purchased using the funds the children had raised from non-uniform day and the cake sale. Lis spoke to the children about where the bags may be heading and how they can change a child’s life. Well done Kingfisher children an amazing effort for a fantastic charity!
Charity Cake Sale
Thank you for your very generous donations at our recent cake sale, in aid of School in a Bag. We have raised an incredible £244.35!
Our chosen charity for 2018/2019
School in a Bag delivers rucksacks filled with vital educational resources and eating utensils to poor, orphan, vulnerable and disaster-affected children around the world. These will enable a child to write, draw, colour, calculate, express themselves, eat, drink and above all, learn.
Over the last 9 years, they've distributed SchoolBags to over 83,000 children in 39 countries around the world.
Kingfisher are hoping to raise funds for School in a Bag with a non uniform day and a cake sale. More information on both of these events will be available after the Easter holidays.
